Any content type could have a different path for images and own thumbs (10.000 and more images in a folder is not the best).
Many extensions ask for a specific folder (slideshow etc), could be great to load directly images in a specific folder.

Resize (enlarge or downsize) image to definied size. Keep ratio, fill size completely and then center image and crop if image is to large in width or hight. This way image always has same size in layout.

It would be very useful with conditional formfields with different subformfields being showed depending on the answer in the main field. This would be very good way to handle the databaselookup-formfield when you have a large amount of alternatives in the answer. By using a condition you could easly divide these answers to groups depending on the first field.

It would be a really great feature to be able to search articles by Author (Non drop down, but rather be able to type up there user name) in the advance search area.

Give each field the option to disallow editing. if(isset or if(!empty than grey-out and disallow editing. useful for various reasons (gender, pass-id,prevent abuse,...)

Irmport (and maybe Export?) of data. I have a situation with 50 U.S. States plus D.C., and each has 15 fields, so about 750 items total. The arrangement is typical database, one row per state. From a database perspective, I like the normalization of the data, but it makes import a little tough. At the moment, I am working on some code to denormalize my data for import.
